PRIVACY AND THE PATIENT RECORD

Dental hygienists work with private health information in their practice. These guidelines outline key requirements from the Health Information Act, Standards of Practice, and the Code of Ethics regarding a dental hygienist’s duty to safeguard their patient’s health information.
