CRDHA Registers
In compliance with the Health Professions Act, CRDHA maintains a General Member Register and a Courtesy Member Register.
CRDHA also maintains a roster for each of the following additional activities:
- Prescribing limited drugs used in the practice of dental hygiene
- Administering local anaesthetic
- Prescribing and administering N2/O2 conscious sedation
It is illegal for a dental hygienist to practice in Alberta without being registered with the CRDHA. Employers are expected to contact the CRDHA to confirm that each registered dental hygienist in their employ is on the Regulated Member Register or the Courtesy Member Register.
