The CRDHA Visual Identity
The evolution of the Alberta Dental Hygienists Association to the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta (CRDHA) creates a great opportunity to introduce a new visual identity. A consistent, clear identity is a powerful way for the CRDHA to make its mark. The visual identity will ensure a clear consistent image for the CRDHA.
The CRDHA logo is one component of the CRDHA visual identity. Visually, by drawing on attributes of past logos the CRDHA logo continues to project the image of being a trusted and reliable source for matters related to dental hygiene. It also provides a chance to profile the CRDHA and suggests a new and exciting future – all while differentiating the CRDHA from the other 28 health regulatory colleges in Alberta.
Developing a new and appropriate logo is a daunting task for anyone. Through a careful selection process that screened a number of eager designers, the ADHA engaged Albertan, Eldon Rice. Rice is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning graphic designer.
When asked about the CRDHA logo, Rice says, “It is eye catching, simple and unique. The logo promotes the CRDHA professionally and reflects the CRDHA mission. The logo works really well because it appeals to local, national and international audiences.” He continues to say, “It is inviting, warm and immediate.”
The new logo has a classic look that was designed to sustain the image of the CRDHA over an extended period of time. It also needs to be flexible enough to be used in a wide variety of communication vehicles from stationary to business cards, annual reports to newsletters.
The CRDHA is proud of the new product and looks forward to the future of the organization.
